This little boy celebrated his first birthday with a cake smash photo session. The session took place at the family home in Southampton.
Before the cake smash photo session, this little boys Mum had found some great decorations for the session, to match the blue icing on the cake. I am not to have too many decorations in my cake smash photo sessions as I find this can be very distracting for the baby. The bunting that Mum had provided for this session was the perfect decoration for this cake smash photo session.
We managed to capture some beautiful portraits of this little guy in a very sweet little outfit before he was covered in cake. I always aim to get some photographs before we bring the cake out.
When it was time for the cake smash this little guy was initially happy to get his hands stuck in the icing, but took a bit of encouragement to break the cake up. With the help of a wooden spoon he was very happy to break the cake up whilst also eating a fair bit of it.
The cake smash photo session takes place on a paper backdrop which all gets thrown away at the end of the session to keep the mess contained. I also carry around with me some vinyl flooring to put under the paper to stop any grease staining your carpet if you don’t have hard floors.
This little guys mum was very happy with her photographs
Absolutely fantastic photos! Couldn’t of asked for more of a perfect photographer, professional, friendly and captured every moment! Thank you so much. Highly recommend to anyone.
My passion for photography first emerged at a young age and I haven't been able to put the camera down since.
My style is very neutral, classic with a contemporary twist. I love to photograph people and capture real emotion.
I love my job, I am lucky to be able to meet so many amazing families, and be able to create lasting memories from the most emotional times in their lives.
