About the session

Congratulations to Craig and Catherine!

On the 21st of December I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Catherine and Craig, at Grittleton House in Wiltshire. The manor house was built between 1835 and 1856 now is run as a school and an event venue. This absolutely stunning building is the perfect location for a wedding  with large garden huge driveway and beautiful ornate rooms.

I started off at “the stables” ( The house’s old stables which have been converted in to a b&b for guests ) with Catherine and her brides maids and page boys as they were getting ready.  The stables are about a ten minute walk up a dirt track from the house, so the guests are chauffeured by mini bus to and from the house.

The ceremony took place in the house beautiful old library with a  stunning view out over one of the many gardens. Craig and Catherine choose a gorgeous deep purple for their colour theme with all the bouquets, corsages, and tables decorations all linking in nicely.

The cake was very nontraditional and made up of wheels of different cheeses topped with little bride and groom mice, the traditional group photographs were taken out in one of the gardens using the house as a backdrop!
